Job Description

Join our team as a Clamp Truck Operator at a large indoor and outdoor warehouse complex. You will be responsible for handling large boxes and barrels of bulk tobacco, ensuring efficient stacking, wrapping, and strapping of containers. Your role will include loading and unloading tractor trailers with containers of tobacco and maintaining accurate inventory records, locations, and quantities. Additionally, keeping warehouses clean and sanitary using brooms, blowers, and 'sweeper' forklifts will be part of your responsibilities.

ResponsibilitiesOperate clamp truck to handle large boxes and barrels of bulk tobacco.Stack, wrap, and strap containers of tobacco.Load and unload tractor trailers with containers of tobacco.Keep track of inventory, locations, and quantity of product.Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of warehouses using brooms, blowers, and 'sweeper' forklifts.Essential SkillsExperience in material handling.Proficiency with RF scanner.Forklift operation skills, including clamp truck operation.General labor skills.Inventory management.Experience in loading and unloading trucks.Ability to operate reach truck, clamp forklift, stand-up forklift, sit-down forklift, and stand-up reach.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to be coachable.Punctuality in work habits.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work within a large warehouse complex consisting of 52 warehouses spread across 90 acres. The environment includes both indoor and outdoor settings that are non-climate controlled. The shift is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
