**Hiring Forklift Operator in Perryman, MD- $20.50/hr** Job Description As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, loading, and distributing building product materials both inside and outside of the Distribution Center. You will operate propane- or electric-powered industrial trucks equipped with lifting devices, such as forklifts, order pickers, and reach trucks, to effectively lift, stack, tier, or move products or materials. Responsibilities + Select orders accurately and efficiently. + Operate reach truck forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and counterbalance forklifts for 70% of the time. + Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs. + Load materials into trucks and secure them with straps. + Put-away building products and manage the replenishment of products. + Empty containers of products. + Perform typical pick/pack duties, including loading and unloading. Essential Skills + 3-5 years of experience operating sit-down forklifts. + Proficiency in forklift operation and material handling. + Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs. Work Environment The work environment is a 250,000 sq. foot facility located in Perryman, Maryland. The position operates on the second shift, from 12:00 pm to 8:45 pm, Monday through Friday. The role does not have a set end time, requiring flexibility to work until tasks are completed. The facility requires the use of industrial trucks and adherence to safety protocols. Why Work Here?
