Forklift Operator
Job Title: Forklift OperatorJob Description

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of sit-down packer forklifts, supporting production and warehouse activities in line with company policies and food safety standards.

ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts safely and effectively, conducting pre-shift inspections in compliance with company policies.Accurately process and document all orders, including tote tracking with details such as tote number, lot number, net weight, gross weight, and tare.Ensure production lines are stocked with bins at the start of each shift to prevent delays.Maintain a continuous flow of product to prevent line stoppages and product thawing.Transport finished product pallets to the freezer promptly to maintain product integrity.Move totes to the elevator and finished products to the exit door using a forklift.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and freezer areas.Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.Complete all paperwork accurately, including quantities and relevant notes.Verify product accuracy by cross-checking tote/pallet information with pick tickets.Do not use products labeled as “HOLD” without FSQA authorization and a valid pick ticket.Manage tote inventory based on product type and machine speed to ensure efficiency.Return all waste totes to the freezer and ensure they are properly labeled.Report any food safety or quality concerns to the FSQA team immediately.Notify the supervisor of any discrepancies or irregularities in documentation.Keep all totes covered to maintain product safety.Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.

The work environment is a refrigerated setting, requiring employees to occasionally work in the freezer. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
