Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Forklift Operator to work in an outdoor environment at a lumber yard. This role is ideal for individuals comfortable working in various weather conditions, including hot summers and cold winters. Candidates will operate a sit-down propane forklift to pick and load materials such as wood flooring, wood decking, and PVC trimming. The job requires working in rain and snow, with occasional shoveling and plowing of the yard.

ResponsibilitiesOperate a sit-down propane forklift.Pick materials such as wood flooring, wood decking, and PVC trimming.Work off of a pick sheet to prepare loads on flatbed trucks.Shovel and plow the yard as needed during adverse weather conditions.Essential SkillsExperience operating sit-down forklifts.Material handling skills.Ability to work in various weather conditions.Prior experience working in a warehouse environment.

Work Environment

The position is located on a 14-acre lot with a 50,000 sq feet warehouse. Most of the work will be outdoors in the yard, requiring preparation for hot and cold weather conditions. Shifts are Monday-Friday with varying hours and overtime as needed. The company provides bi-weekly pay and fosters a collaborative work culture.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.90 - $20.90/hr.
