Our client, a leading player in the logistics industry, is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the warehouse team supporting efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to adapt to changing environments, which will align successfully with the organization's goals. This is a 6-month assignment.
**Job Title:** Forklift Operator
**Location:** Brooklyn, NY
**Pay Range:** $19 - $19.50 per hour
**Shift:** Monday - Thursday 7:45 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday 7:45 AM - 3:15 PM
**Duration** : 6 months
**What's the Job?**
+ Prepare shipping and receiving orders under limited supervision.
+ Load and unload trucks using a forklift or hand truck as required.
+ Package small items for UPS and/or Postal Service shipments.
+ Maintain accurate packing slips and track shipments ready for dispatch.
+ Operate a forklift safely and efficiently while securing materials for shipping.
**What's Needed?**
+ **High school diploma or GED.**
+ **2+ years of warehouse experience**
+ **Valid forklift operator license required.**
+ **OSHA certificate**
+ Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and safety instructions.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
+ Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
