**Job Title:** Sit-Down Forklift Operator – Racking System Project **Job Description** We are launching a major warehouse upgrade project involving the removal of an old racking system and installation of a new one. This contract role is expected to last at least three months. We are seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator to support material handling, unloading, and staging of heavy equipment and racking components. This role also includes assisting with general labor tasks such as decommissioning racking and drilling into concrete. Comfort working at heights is essential, as racking systems reach up to 4-5 stories. **Responsibilities** + Operate a sit-down forklift to unload and stage new racking materials. + Transport heavy materials safely across the job site. + Assist with decommissioning old racking using hand tools and wrenches. + Support installation crews by drilling into concrete and preparing areas for new racking. + Work at heights up to 4-5 stories as needed. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 1 year of sit-down forklift experience (certification preferred). + Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with warehouse operations. + Ability to lift 50-75 lbs repeatedly. + Experience with hand and power tools. + Comfortable working at heights and in a physically demanding environment. **Shift/Pay** + **Schedule:** Monday – Saturday (eventually transitioning to Monday – Friday) + **Hours:** 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (10-hour days with paid lunch) + **Pay:** $26/hour **Why Work Here?** Join a hands-on, fast-paced project where your forklift and mechanical skills are highly valued.
