Forklift Operator

Location: Tampa Port

Qualifications: Must be willing to obtain TWIC card and Port Badge

Job Description

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating sit-down forklifts to load and unload primarily perishables into specific storage rooms designated by temperatures. You must safely operate machinery and adhere to all OSHA protocols while maneuvering perishable and non-perishable goods in room temperatures ranging from below freezing to 45 degrees. You should be comfortable working long hours, as unloading a vessel can take from 8 to 14 hours.

ResponsibilitiesOperate sit-down forklifts to load and unload perishablesSafely maneuver perishables and non-perishables in temperature-controlled environments.Adhere to OSHA safety protocols at all times.Operate both single and MUST have double fork forklift experienceWork extended hours as required by the unloading schedule running from 8 to 13+ hours shiftsPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
