Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and reliable forklift operator who will be responsible for various tasks essential to the efficient operation of our warehouse. The candidate will play a key role in receiving, picking, and maintaining inventory while adhering to company policies and fostering a positive work environment.

Shift: 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm)

Pay: $19.80 (room for growth to $21/hour)

ResponsibilitiesReceive and inspect incoming parts for accuracy from vendors and update the computer system before placing them in the appropriate warehouse location.Pick part orders in both low and high locations using RF scanners and load orders onto production carts.Participate in the cycle counting program and bin/space consolidation program, while maintaining general cleanliness of inventory and the warehouse facility.Become cross-trained within the department and work in other departments as necessary, identifying and addressing potential errors.Adhere to the company handbook and all departmental rules and regulations, ensuring respect for fellow employees and safety.Maintain warehouse equipment according to schedule and report any issues to the supervisor immediately.Accept responsibility for actions and work performed, maintaining a positive attitude and functioning well in a teamwork environment.Participate in all company-sponsored activities, including suggestion programs and quality training.Perform other duties as required, maintaining a positive attitude and showing respect for fellow associates at all times.Essential SkillsExperience with sit-down or stand-up forklifts (at least 1 year).Proficiency in packing and shipping/receiving.Material handling skills.Experience using RF scanners.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift certification is preferred.Why Work Here?

The work environment is within a larger-sized, well-lit, and temperature-controlled warehouse. Our facility is renowned for efficiency and reliability, akin to the quality of a Mercedes Benz or Lexus. The Buffalo Grove facility is one of five in the US, divided into manufacturing and production areas. With 150 employees working within a clean and organized setting, many products utilized in the facility ensure automation in operations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
