**Job Title: Forklift Mechanic**
**Job Description**
As a Forklift Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, replacements, and troubleshooting on various models of material handling equipment, including propane and electric forklifts. You will complete maintenance tasks efficiently and cost-effectively at customer locations to meet their requirements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement on material handling equipment.
+ Troubleshoot issues with propane and electric forklifts.
+ Complete necessary paperwork and data input related to job requirements.
+ Maintain an adequate set of personal tools for the job.
+ Meet customer requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1-2 years of specific experience with material handling equipment.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting, electrical, forklift repair, mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
+ Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics.
+ Capability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable assistance.
+ Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
+ Valid Driver License.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma, G.E.D., or tech school graduate preferred.
+ Minimum three years of experience in repair and maintenance on material handling equipment.
+ Customer service skills and abilities.
+ Certification to operate equipment (must be capable of obtaining).
+ Willingness and ability to frequently push, pull, kneel, bend, and reach.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes indoor warehouses with varying temperatures depending on the time of year. The standard shift is Monday to Friday from 6 am to 2:30 pm, with potential for overtime. The dress code is casual, and you will need to be comfortable working alone and capable of making decisions independently.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Savannah, Georgia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
