Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in paper conversion, is seeking a Forklift Maintenance Mechanic to join their dedicated team. As a Forklift Maintenance Mechanic, you will be an essential part of the maintenance department supporting the operational excellence of the facility. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical skills, proactive troubleshooting abilities, and a safety-first mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

What's the Job?

Perform routine maintenance on all powered industrial vehicles (PIVs) including forklifts, roll clamps, pallet jacks, and reach trucks, following manufacturer specifications. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure equipment safety and performance. Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively to prevent downtime. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory for each PIV. Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair tasks and ensure timely completion to support production needs.

What's Needed?

Experience maintaining forklifts and roll clamps, including knowledge of FL types and roll clamp operations. Strong mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to perform preventative maintenance such as oil changes, light replacements, greasing, and fluid checks. Excellent record-keeping skills and attention to detail. Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
