Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This position involves loading and unloading freight onto and off of mainly open flatbed trucks. The operator will collaborate with truck drivers to ensure products are securely strapped down or correctly removed. Additionally, the role includes entering data and orders into the computer, performing final touch-ups to freight and orders, and handling mechanical tasks as needed. The operator will spend approximately 50% of the time on material handling and warehouse assistance, and 50% ensuring timely completion of orders.
ResponsibilitiesLocate material and move to the appropriate area using a forklift.Pack, seal, label, and prepare materials for shipping when required.Load material onto truck trailers, ensuring optimal delivery sequence.Verify material to confirm correct items are placed on trucks.Stage loads for full truck and LTL shipments.Close production work orders as needed.Perform assembly work as required.Pick parts and products for the truck.Collect and organize items ordered by customers and prepare them for shipment.Operate equipment to collect, deliver, and package goods, including forklift operation.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.Essential Skills1 year sit-down hilo experience.Material handling expertise.Mechanically inclined with attention to detail.Additional Skills & QualificationsSteel toe boots required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is primarily based in the warehouse and dock area, which is not temperature-controlled but maintains open bay doors during warm weather. The cafeteria is air-conditioned, and the manufacturing floor is organized by department. The warehouse is relatively clean, with expectations for maintaining a tidy work station. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
