**Job Title: Forklift Driver** **Job Description** Utilize a sit-down forklift to move goods throughout the facility. Responsibilities include moving palletized products, assisting in packaging shipments, checking inventory, loading and unloading products, staging products for shipment, palletizing products, assisting with loading products onto the production line, loading and unloading trucks, filling out shift paperwork, completing inspections, and keeping up with the production pace. Candidates should be comfortable working in both the plant and warehouse areas. **Responsibilities** + Operate sit-down forklifts to transport goods throughout the facility. + Move and organize palletized products. + Assist in packaging shipments and checking inventory levels. + Load and unload products and trucks efficiently. + Stage products for shipment and palletize them appropriately. + Assist with loading products onto the production line. + Complete shift paperwork and perform inspections as required. + Maintain production pace and work comfortably in plant and warehouse areas. **Essential Skills** + Sit-down forklift experience. + Experience working within a foods GMP environment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in cold storage. + Experience with RF scanners and order picking. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy competitive benefits and a robust 401k program. The facility is organized with a colder environment for toppings on one side and a warmer environment for the bakery side. Each shift comprises around 100 people, distinguished by helmet color, in a very clean and organized environment that smells like pizza. Safety attire includes smocks, hair nets, beard nets, hearing protection, hard hats, safety glasses, and non-slip shoes. Jewelry is not permitted. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Manteno, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $22.00/hr.
