Job Title: Forklift Driver

WAGE:$21 - $22.50/hr depending on experience. Can go up to 24/hr once perm. SHIFT:

Day shift, Monday - Friday, 8.5 hours (unpaid lunch)

Will be one of the following:

7:00 am - 3:30 pm

7:30 am - 4:00 pm

8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Job Description

This role involves working in a warehouse that carries a diverse range of high-quality concrete supplies, including concrete formwork materials, chemicals, sealers, additives, pigments, waterproofing, repair, protection products, and construction accessories. The position requires both forklift operation and manual lifting.

ResponsibilitiesOperate forklifts for 50% of the work time and engage in manual lifting for the remaining 50%.Pick orders for wholesale and retail customer orders.Utilize SDCB (Propane) and stand-up reach (Electric) forklifts.Perform shipping and receiving duties.Unload and load trucks, flat decks, 53' trailers, cars, and pickup trucks.Record all orders and shipments on paper.Enter information into the computer system.Communicate using radio systems.Essential SkillsForklift certificates for both SDCB and stand-up reach.At least 2 months of experience in a warehouse or other general laborer role.Ability to communicate in English verbally, in writing, and reading.Additional Skills & Qualifications6+ months of forklift experience.Strong customer service skills.Eagerness to learn and adapt.Team-oriented mindset.Effective time management skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The role is based inside a warehouse with racking and somewhat temperature-controlled conditions. Material storage is available in the yard. The team consists of 8 members, and start times vary between 5 AM and 8 AM. Break and lunch times are flexible based on daily activities. The position is a day shift, Monday through Friday, with 8.5-hour shifts including an unpaid lunch. Shift options include 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
