Job Description
As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of finished goods within the warehouse and the timely loading and unloading of trucks. This position involves direct interaction with external customers and internal customer service representatives to address inquiries about shipment arrangements. You will be responsible for verifying and maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, arranging transportation of HVAC and industrial refrigeration units, and ensuring inventory is properly received and stored.
ResponsibilitiesOperate a forklift or industrial truck safely and efficiently.Load and unload trucks with precision.Ensure the safe operation of industrial trucks.Manage the outflow of finished products to customers.Track shipping charges and carrier usage for product receivers.Respond to customer service inquiries regarding shipping and receiving dates.Oversee the inflow of products for warehousing purposes.Receive paperwork and input inventory into the inventory management system.Track the inflow of materials accurately.Ensure proper storage and correct labeling of products.Verify that delivered and shipped products are correct and undamaged.Inspect packaging and crating conditions upon receipt and prior to shipment, repairing as needed.Maintain annual certification for forklift operation.Keep a clean and safe work area.Perform other related duties and assignments as required.Be available to work in all areas of the warehouse.Essential SkillsExperience with sit-down and clamp forklifts.Proficiency in loading and unloading.Familiarity with inventory management.Ability to operate stand-up reach forklifts.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED required.Safety certification must be maintained at all times.Ability to work as part of a team and independently.Attention to detail and safety.Capability to occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is based in a warehouse setting that involves sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and exposure to loud noise for extended periods throughout the day. Eye and ear protection are mandatory at all times, and some industrial trucks come equipped with personal safety items such as seatbelts.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
