Fork Lift Operator
**Job Title: Fork Lift Operator** Job Description As a Fork Lift Operator, you will report to the Production Specialist and be an integral part of our team, working in a fast-paced environment to support our mission of helping farmers feed the world while protecting the planet. You must be flexible to work any day of the week and be available for shifts up to 12 hours. This role involves operating a forklift and serving as a machine operator when needed. Responsibilities + Operate the forklift professionally and accident-free, ensuring precise inspections. + Perform systematic maintenance and cleaning of the forklift. + Continuously track the location of goods during material handling using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure accurate data entry. + Perform manual tasks as directed by the warehouse supervisor or team lead, such as inventory sampling and cleaning. + Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse. + Ensure proper loading and unloading of transport vehicles during seed delivery and return seasons with quality packages to meet customer expectations. + Maintain safety standards and initiate emergency procedures when necessary. Shift + Must be open to working 1st and 2nd shift. + You will start working on the 1st shift and then moved to the 2nd shift. + Must be open to working 2 weekends a month. + Work 7 days of 14 days. Essential Skills + Ability to count accurately when moving inventory. + Ability to read scales. + Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented. + Alertness and awareness when driving the forklift safely. + Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team. + Ability to operate a forklift in confined spaces. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1 year of forklift experience. + 1 year of warehouse experience. + Prior forklift certification is preferred. + Inventory Management experience is a plus. + Experience with RF scan guns and receiving/inbound processes is advantageous. + Reliable transportation to the site and punctuality. + Maintain enthusiasm, a positive attitude, honesty, and a willingness to treat all with respect. The role requires adherence to regulatory requirements and a dress code suitable for operating machinery in a warehouse setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Durant, Iowa. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
