Fork Lift Operator

$19-22/hr

Work Environment

Work in a rotating shift schedule with options including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, up to 10-12 hours per day. Shifts may vary seasonally, typically from October to April, with a 2-3-2 rotation. The facility uses technology such as PCs and scanners to assist with job tasks and adheres to regulatory requirements.

ResponsibilitiesOperate the forklift professionally and ensure accident-free operation, including precise inspections.Systematically maintain and clean the forklift.Continuously track the location of goods during material handling using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ensure accurate data entry.Perform manual tasks as directed by the warehouse supervisor or team lead, such as sampling, inventory management, and cleaning.Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse environment.During the seed delivery and return season, ensure proper loading and unloading of transport vehicles with quality packages.Maintain safety standards and initiate emergency procedures when necessary.Essential SkillsMinimum 1 year of forklift experience.1 year of warehouse experience.Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.Reliable transportation to the site and punctuality.Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.Ability to count accurately when moving inventory.Ability to read scales and work with computer systems.Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented.Alertness and awareness when operating the forklift safely.Prior forklift certification is requiredAbility to work in tighter confined spaces with a forklift.Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Woodhull, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
