Job Title: Shop Welder and Fabricator
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Shop Welder and Fabricator to join our team. This role involves fabricating and welding structural steel, aiding in layout and fitting, ensuring quality and accuracy prior to welding, and supervising fabrication personnel across various shops.

ResponsibilitiesOwn all aspects of jobs, including layout/fitting, welding, and maintaining quality throughout project completion.Aid in layout and fitting of structural steel.Ensure quality and accuracy of layout prior to welding.Supervise fabrication personnel across a variety of shops.Essential SkillsProficiency in fitting and welding structural steel.Experience with blueprints and drawings.Proficiency in Flux Core and Dual Shield welding techniques.Ability to perform Structural Welding, specifically in the 3G position.Additional Skills & QualificationsWABO, AWS, and 3G certifications are advantageous but not required.Must pass a 1/2 inch plate test in 1g.Ability to walk through a drawing and lay out plans effectively.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a local shop that supports both structural projects and national operations for structural conveying systems used in mining. Our 100,000 square foot AISC-Certified Manufacturing Center includes a complete fabrication, sandblasting, and painting facility, along with a state-of-the-art computer drafting & modeling department. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Portland, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.
