This role is responsible for the setup and assembly of meals from tray-line and/or kitchen. The shift is from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and requires availability on weekends.
ResponsibilitiesRead production orders on color-coded menu cards on trays to determine items to place on tray, and place items such as eating utensils, napkins, and condiments on trays.Apportion and place food servings on plates and trays according to the diet list on menu card.Examine filled trays for completeness and place them on a cart, dumbwaiter, or other set up stations with entrées, soups, salads, breads, condiments, other food products, and utensils.Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables, sometimes using a conveyor food-belt, and break down stations at the end of meal periods.Brew coffee and tea.Set up and stock the beverage area, grab-and-go items, service ware, and condiments, or other assigned areas. May be required to restock other beverage areas.Prepare for service before the meal and clean the dining room after the meal by wiping tables, vacuuming the floor, cleaning chairs, and ensuring the acceptable appearance of the dining area.
Essential SkillsExperience in food service and customer service.Skills in cleaning, tray line, dishwashing, and food preparation.Team-oriented with the ability to help out where needed.Stocking, dishwashing, and food preparation expertise.
Additional Skills & QualificationsCulinary or healthcare experience preferred but not required.
