Our client, a well-established and growing food manufacturing organization, is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Systems (FSQS) Superintendent to join their team. As a Food Safety & Quality Systems (FSQS) Superintendent, you will be part of the Food Safety and Quality Assurance department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Food Safety & Quality Systems (FSQS) Superintendent
**Location:** Reidsville, North Carolina
**Pay Range:** $100,000 - $120,000
**What's the Job?**
+ Lead, coordinate, and develop the Food Safety & Quality Systems team to ensure high standards of food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
+ Partner cross-functionally with Production, Maintenance, and Facility Leadership to drive food safety and quality initiatives.
+ Oversee laboratory sample handling to maintain sample integrity and support audit processes.
+ Conduct and participate in third-party and regulatory audits, ensuring compliance and readiness.
+ Lead investigations related to contamination or quality events, making product disposition decisions and managing HOLD processes.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Meat Science, or a related field.
+ Minimum of 5 years experience in Food Safety, Quality Assurance, or a related discipline.
+ Strong knowledge of HACCP, SSOP, and regulatory food safety requirements.
+ Experience interpreting regulatory documents, notices, and directives.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
