Food Safety & Quality Assurance Senior Manager Europe

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Food safety and Quality Assurance Director Europe within our Foodservice Europe team, the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Senior Manager Europe will support the European and BUs functions as a subject matter expert and role model for Food Safety and Quality Assurance.

The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Senior Manager will contribute with creating, enhancing and implementing Food Safety and Quality Assurance processes, tools and guidelines, educate stakeholders, and secure overall improvement throughout European BUs. This role involves ensuring compliance with EU Food Safety regulations, conducting regular assessments, and being the FSQA expert leading the Food Safety team to reach the highest standards of Food Safety and Quality.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Lead and participate in Global and European FSQA projects and programs

Lead a multidisciplinary HACCP team

Responsibility for ensuring compliance, managing updates and implementing changes to Eur HACCP and Food Safety Manual

Participate in FSQA risk assessments

Define standards necessary for FSQA IT systems, equipment, and manuals, and test functionality and suitability

Manage FSQA training programs in general– train and educate non-store stakeholders, including train the trainer programs

Advise and execute operative Quality Assurance tasks– approve suppliers, products and labels for Foodservice and Private Brand, support with Customer claim handling and emergency preparedness.

Align and ensure execution of FSQA strategies and standards in assigned BU market areas; Assist with local adaptations and competent problem-solving

Collaborate with other departments to ensure overall Food Safety and Quality and communicate with the aim of strengthening the Food Safety Culture.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

3+ years of experience in a food safety and/or quality assurance role, preferably from Retail.

Experience from project management, training, and leadership of teams or coordinated programs related to food safety, food safety culture, quality control and overall regulatory compliance.

Deep understanding of relevant food safety regulations in EU and Codex, in addition to food safety industry standards.

Experience conducting audits to assess compliance with food safety and quality standards is highly beneficial.

Understanding of digital tools that enables us to make it easy for end users and customers.

Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Relevant higher education degree within Food Sciences, Microbiology, or a related field.
