Coordinates and monitors quality improvement projectsAudits implementation of quality system for effectiveness by verifying operation activities to Gate Gourmet, Customer and Regulatory specificationMonitors corrective action systemEducates and trains unit staff and managers in quality related issuesPlays a key role in developing a comprehensive quality programImplements the quality system detailed in the quality manualChampions the total quality improvement efforts and initiates problem solving efforts and assures implementationSupports the manager to drive prevention vs. detection of defectsCoordinates actions to prevent the occurrences of nonconformitiesMaintains customer compliance resolutionResponsible for the maintenance of key performance metrics for the Quality organizationActs as the primary liaison to US Quality AssuranceControls Food safety and Quality of processing and manufacturing within the businessSupports customer audits, government audits to meet complianceVerifies and insures company policies and procedures are followedInsures quality specifications and requirements are followed and metAssists with developing Standard Operating ProceduresResponsible for safety, quality and compliance to customer specificationAssists in training of all Standard Operating Procedures and Critical Control Points in the unitCompletes all other company required training including but not limited to ServSafe Sanitation Manager Certification.Qualifications
Education:
Minimum qualifications include High School graduate or equivalent with experience in related disciplinePreferred qualifications include College degree in related discipline, knowledge of HACCP, quality management and six sigmaWork Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Food safety control practices (GMP's, SOP's, and HACCP) and quality program controlPrevious in airline, food processing, distribution operations or other fast paced environmentTechnical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
ServSafe certification requiredIs HACCP certified and ServeSafe trained a plusBasic lean, six sigma knowledge, and continuous improvement understanding a plusJob Skills:

Work Environment / Requirements of the Job: Regularly, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 10+ hours. In a normal production kitchen facility there may be physical discomfort due to temperature and noise. Must be able to lift, push, pull and move product, equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds.
