**Quality Assurance Specialist** **Job Description** We are seeking a motivated individual with food manufacturing experience and proficiency in computer skills to join our team as a Quality Assurance Specialist. This role involves interacting with the production team to ensure adherence to food safety processes and procedures, managing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and verifying finished product quality. **Responsibilities** + Ensure full compliance with all government food safety regulations and maintain the highest possible industry food safety ratings. + Ensure that the facility follows all GMP, HACCP guidelines, and company policies. + Verify and assure compliance with established food safety and quality objectives through daily monitoring programs, plant supervision, and ongoing verification of internal controls. + Enforce new and improved quality, food safety, and sanitation programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that established standards are consistently measured, documented, and maintained. + Maintain and recommend improvements to workplace safety programs, procedures, and policies. + Perform and document Food Safety Critical Control Points (CCP) and quality documentation, per procedure. + Perform ATP and environmental swabs per procedure. + Inform management of shortages in supplies for quality assurance, sanitation, and operations as appropriate. Assist in identifying adequate supply levels. + Collect accurate, detailed, and timely data, and communicate corrective actions to deviations while upholding company standards and expectations. **Essential Skills** + Experience in quality assurance, quality control, and food manufacturing. + PCQI and HACCP certified. + Knowledge and experience in food microbiology, food safety, and sanitation systems. + Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively work with all managerial and employee levels. + Analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to use creative and innovative approaches to resolve complex problems. + Knowledge of company procedures and expectations. + Knowledge of HACCP, organic, gluten-free, and allergen requirements. + Knowledge of chemical safety and food industry sanitation procedures. + Experience with FDA and USDA regulations. + Proficiency in computer skills, including Office and Excel. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred. + Quality assurance and food handlers certification. + Audit and CAPA experience. **Why Work Here?** This position offers abundant opportunities for growth.
