Job Description

Join our team as a Machine Operator where you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production line. You will set up, operate, and maintain filling machines while adhering to safety and quality protocols.

ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and maintain filling machines.Perform and record quality checks to ensure shelf-life integrity and package quality.Perform nominal maintenance on equipment.Conduct and document Clean-In-Place (CIP) and in-process sanitation on equipment and area as needed.Ensure compliance with food safety and quality protocols.Follow all Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations at all times.Utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, and aprons.Provide coverage in the absence of other Machine Operators.Input redzone codes accurately and in a timely manner.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience in food manufacturing and machine operation.Proficiency in packaging and warehouse operations.Ability to operate a forklift.General labor skills.Basic computer skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work with moderate supervision.Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.Strong interpersonal communication skills including the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.Strong basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Ability to read charts and monitors.Ability to multitask.Physical ability to push up to 300 pounds, pull up to 500 pounds with mechanical assistance, and lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently. Work Environment

Our fast-paced food production environment requires monitoring the packaging line and handling products that come out of the packaging machine. Expect strong odors and the need to stand for 12+ hours. Steel toe boots are required for all production and warehouse positions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.50/hr.
