Position SummaryThe Food & Beverage Manager is responsible for leading all food and beverage operations to deliver an energetic guest experience while driving profitability, quality, and brand compliance. This role oversees daily operations of the bar, breakfast, and event service, ensuring Aloft brand standards, financial goals, and service expectations are consistently met.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Guest Experience
Oversee daily food and beverage operations, including bar, breakfast, and event functions
Ensure exceptional guest service and quick recovery of service issues
Maintain Aloft and Marriott brand standards across all F&B outlets
Lead daily pre-shift meetings and set service expectations
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
Leadership & Staffing
Recruit, train, coach, and schedule F&B team members
Lead by example to create a positive, high-energy work environment
Manage labor productivity and staffing levels to align with business demand
Conduct performance evaluations and corrective actions as needed
Financial & Inventory Management
Manage department budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance
Control food, beverage, and labor costs to meet profitability goals
Oversee inventory management, ordering, and vendor relationships
Monitor sales mix, pricing, and promotions to maximize revenue
Ensure accurate cash handling and POS compliance
Planning & Execution
Develop menus, beverage programs, and promotions aligned with the Aloft brand
Coordinate group events, banquets, and special activations
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to drive revenue
Analyze performance reports and implement improvement strategies
Qualifications2–4 years of Food & Beverage management experience in a hotel or lifestyle brand
Strong knowledge of bar operations, food safety, and alcohol service
Proven leadership, organizational, and financial management skills
Experience with POS systems and inventory controls
Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
