Job Title: Flux Core Welder

Job Description

Join our team of skilled welders supporting custom metal fabrication projects. You will work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other industrial metals, performing MIG and Flux-cored welding on various components.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG and Flux-cored welding on metal components using both .116 and .332 wires.Read and interpret blueprints and welding drawings to ensure accurate job completion.Collaborate with production and engineering personnel to meet project specifications and quality standards.Maintain consistency with project specifications, material requirements, and quality standards.Operate in shop conditions with common welding hazards and uphold safety procedures, including the proper use of PPE.Work independently and manage time effectively.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in flux core and MIG welding.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Mechanical aptitude and skills in fitting and fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in tight or elevated spaces.Knowledge of welding shop hazards and safe operation of tools and equipment.Experience in steel fabrication or machining environments is preferred.

Work Environment

Work in a structured shift from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with weekends off. The environment involves common welding hazards such as fumes, burns, noise, and exposure to grinding and industrial machinery. Adherence to safety procedures and proper attire is mandatory.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Belvidere, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
