Floor Technician
**Job Title: Floor Technician** Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Floor Care Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of floor maintenance principles and demonstrate proficiency in using various types of industrial floor care equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining and restoring all types of floor surfaces, ensuring they are kept in pristine condition. Responsibilities + Maintain knowledge of principles of hard-surface floor maintenance and apply proper procedures for hard floor care, including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, and spray cleaning. + Utilize automated equipment for cleaning large floor areas. + Use proper procedures on carpet and upholstery, including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extractions, spot cleaning, and vacuuming. + Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types. + Execute other duties as assigned by the manager. Essential Skills + Experience in waxing, buffing, and janitorial services. + Proven knowledge of floor care equipment and techniques. + Ability to operate scrubbing, polishing, and burnishing equipment. + Understanding and adherence to safety procedures. + Capability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs frequently. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role is preferred. Work Environment The position is onsite at a health system, primarily at the main hospital. There are also openings specifically for the children's tower. **Work hours are from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, primarily Monday through Friday, with the flexibility to work weekends as needed.** Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.50/hr.
