Fairview is looking for a Casual Floor Tech at our Fairview UMMC - East Bank location, in Minneapolis, MN.
Cleans, refinishes and maintains floors in facility. Performs project work and tasks as performed by Environmental Services Aides/Housekeeping Aides/Custodians as assigned. Maintains a safe, clean and orderly environment for patients, employees and visitors.
Hours: Pick up shifts as needed
Shift: evening

4:00pm - 12:30am
5:00pm - 1:30am

Responsibilities
Maintains hard surface and carpeted floorsUses good technique to clean and refinish hard surface floors and extraction of carpeted floorsApplies appropriate seal and finish to floorsUses appropriate equipment for the taskProperly uses caution signs and controls trafficProperly cleans upholstered surfacesMoves furnitureWorks in cooperative courteous manner with others to accomplish resultsPerforms cleaning assignments per department procedures and protocolsUses proper chemical dilution rationsFollows infection control practices and proceduresFollows proper procedure for assigned areaCompletes assignments in a timely mannerUses proper equipment and supplies for taskReplenishes suppliesProperly handles soiled and clean linens in assigned areasProperly handles and disposes of wasteUses safe work practices i.e. floor signs, use of gloves, follow hazard signs/symbolsRemains flexible to change assignments as neededContributes process improvement ideas/suggestionsProperly documents work assignmentsDemonstrates proper emergency and security responseTakes immediate action as required to assist with emergency codesUnlocks and secures access to building as directedCleans emergency spills as neededDemonstrates proper use and care of equipmentUses proper equipment for assignment/taskProperly cares for equipment and takes action for preventive maintenanceReports malfunctioning equipmentUses safety precautions
