Join a dynamic team as a Floater Assembler, where you will be responsible for assembling HVAC units while also taking on additional tasks such as painting copper pipes and maintaining a clean production floor. You will work as part of an assembly line team, following detailed drawings to install, fasten, wire, and test parts including fans, coils, motors, and sheet metal components. Your role will require manual dexterity, mechanical skills, and a strong adherence to safety and quality standards. This position offers opportunities for cross-training in brazing and other duties as required.
ResponsibilitiesAssemble HVAC units, air handlers, heat exchangers, ductwork, and refrigeration components.Install and connect motors, compressors, fans, coils, valves, and electronic controls.Ensure proper alignment, torque, and sealing of mechanical components.Use hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment to fasten and secure parts.Perform basic wiring, crimping, and terminal connections.Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production schedules.Ensure refrigerant and water piping systems are leak-free.Verify that assembled products comply with assembly and/or fabrication drawings.
Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of experience in mechanical assembly.Strong mechanical aptitude and steady hands for assembly tasks.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment
Work full-time within a collaborative team consisting of welders, refrigeration specialists, electricians, and maintenance personnel. The project team includes over 20 colleagues, including mechanical and electrical assemblers. The facility is shared with another company, which occupies the other side of the wall.
