Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking a Flight Operations Mechanic - Quality Assurance Inspectors to support the Quality Team in Patuxent River, MD!

Position Responsibilities:

Perform operational checkout of aircraft prior to flightInspect explosive and armament installationsMaintain aircraft historical recordsPerform activities prior to flight status and final inspection and daily maintenance of completed experimental aircraft or major modification to experimental aircraftInspect and/or perform bench and flight line operational checkout and inspect, troubleshooting, adjustment and repair of electrical and electronic systemsInspect the calibration, adjustment, troubleshooting, repair and modification of electronic test equipment used exclusively by production and at times may be required to inspect the calibration, adjustment, troubleshooting, repair and modification of other electronic test equipment as directedPerform aircraft and/or spacecraft bench or flight line operational checkout, trouble-shooting, adjustment and repair of any electrical or electronic systemFabricate, adjust, trouble shoot, repair and modify electronic test equipmentPerform operational checkout of hydraulic systems and mechanical systemsDiagnose and correct hydraulic and mechanical malfunctionsOperate engines during run-ups and troubleshoot when neededPerform engine buildup as assignedInstall, repair, and replace tanks, power plants, generators, and aircraft enginesInstall or replace reservoirs, etc. and repair leaks in sameInstall or replace instruments such as fuel quantity, rate of climb and oil pressure indicatorsInspection of splice, route, clamp, solder, and string tie wires or wire bundlesInspection of repair, install and hook up bomb, missile and rocket racks and pylonsInspection of installations and load ejection seats and gunsInspection of install adjusts, repair and replace structural parts and assembliesInspection of fabricated parts such as skins, doors, aircraft frames, air bags, test panels, clips, brackets, angles and ribs without the aid of jigs and fixturesInspection of modified aircraft components or aircraft support equipment and composite repairsPhysical requirements – standing, lifting, fall protection, up and down on aircraft, DOT/ground ops physical requirements (QASO, towing and move crew)

Remote Type:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. 

Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A Final U.S. secret clearance is Post Start is required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

1+ years’ experience in a military or commercial aircraft environmentHigh School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)Current valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

3+ years’ experience performing military aircraft maintenance activitiesHave or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months

Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of (120) calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the probationary period.This position requires travel up to 10% of the time
