**Job Title: Flex Operator** **Job Description** As a Flex Operator, you will play an integral role in the setup and removal of die/tooling for production runs. Your responsibilities include removing all wires and hoses to facilitate the extraction of tooling and molds from the press. You will also ensure the proper connection of wires, hoses, and equipment to prepare the tooling for the Process Technician. In addition, maintaining cleanliness by removing plastic debris from floors, machines, and hoses is part of your duties. **Responsibilities** + Assist in the removal and setup of die/tooling for production runs. + Remove wires and hoses to facilitate tooling and mold extraction from the press. + Connect wires, hoses, and equipment to prepare tooling for the Process Technician. + Clean plastic debris from floors, machines, and hoses. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude + Machine operation experience + Plastic injection experience + Press experience **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Prior experience in plastics, mold setting, or general machine setup is advantageous. + A positive attitude and aspiration to progress into a Setup Tech or Maintenance position. **Why Work Here?** This company values cross-training and internal promotion, offering the opportunity for Flex Operators to advance to Setup Technician roles within 6 to 12 months, with subsequent raises. Educational reimbursement is available with $5,250/year for further studies towards a bachelor or associates degree. **Work Environment** The work environment is hot and loud with a noticeable hot plastic smell. It is non-climate controlled. Dress code includes t-shirts, hoodies without strings, sweatshirts, sleeveless tops (not tank tops), jeans, shorts, cargo pockets, basketball shorts, and sweat pants. Leggings, jeggings, or spandex are not allowed. Shoes must be closed-toe with rubber soles. Jewelry must be minimal, with necklaces inside shirts and no jewelry past shoulder level. Tattoos and hair color are acceptable as long as they are not offensive. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bardstown, Kentucky. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
