Fleet Support Engineer

Our client, a leader in autonomous vehicle technology and transportation solutions, is seeking a Fleet Support Engineer to join their team. As a Fleet Support Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Development department supporting operational uptime and fleet reliability. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent collaboration skills, meticulous documentation, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: San Francisco, CA

Pay Range: $90-95/h + Benefits

What's the Job?

Serve as the primary point of contact for real-time escalations related to sensor issues within the fleet. Conduct comprehensive root cause analysis by reviewing logs to identify and resolve fleet problems. Develop, update, and maintain troubleshooting guides for technicians, incorporating new fault diagnoses and solutions. Perform hardware bring-up and validation procedures for new sensor components such as LiDAR, radar, and cameras. Design diagnostic procedures to improve troubleshooting efficiency, focusing on sensor calibration and data integrity.

What's Needed?

Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in transportation, aerospace, or autonomous vehicle sectors, with a focus on perception systems and sensors. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Experience with low/high voltage circuits, UDS, and safe troubleshooting practices. Understanding of hardware and software system architecture supporting operational environments. Ability to interpret schematics, electrical diagrams, and connector pinouts effectively.
