Job Description
This position involves performing scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs on automobiles, trucks (Class 4-8), vans, and material handling equipment. The role is highly independent and requires the use of personal tools.
ResponsibilitiesDiagnose electrical systems, fuel systems, brake systems, and all other assemblies related to vehicle maintenance and repair.Work independently with minimal supervision.Perform physical movements such as lifting, pinching, bending, reaching, climbing, and handling objects.Diagnose vehicle failures and disassemble, repair, and reassemble as necessary.Conduct preventative maintenance on vehicles.Meet internal customer expectations.Maintain vehicle records as required.Respond to road calls.Essential Skills1+ years of experience as a mechanic.Experience with hydraulic and air brake systems.Knowledge of internal combustible engines with multiple fuel sources.Ability to pass CDL and state inspection testing.Possess own tools including general hand and power tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED.Valid CDL license preferred.CDL Class A preferred for permanent employment.State inspection license A required within 180 days of hire.ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in Medium/Heavy Equipment preferred.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a fleet shop with two 100-foot bays located on the same site as a distribution facility. The environment can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. You will be part of a very experienced team of technicians and will work both independently and collaboratively in confined spaces and around large trucks. The position is from Monday to Friday and includes a uniform, steel-toe shoes, and PPE as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
