Fleet Mechanic/Technician

Job Title: Fleet Mechanic/Mobile repairs (Local) -

1st shift $35-$40

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet. You will be responsible for diagnosing engine issues using OEM software, managing parts inventory, and accurately charging parts and labor to electronic work orders. Your expertise in troubleshooting and repairing tractor truck and trailer systems will be essential. This role requires physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally, working on and under trucks for extended periods, and having the physical ability to climb, bend, and stretch. You will collaborate with drivers to schedule and diagnose repairs on the fleet, ensuring efficient operation and compliance with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including brakes, steering, and suspension.Diagnose engine issues using OEM software.Manage parts inventory and accurately charge parts and labor to electronic work orders.Troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic systems.Lift up to 75 pounds and work on and under trucks for extended periods.Collaborate with drivers to schedule and diagnose repairs on fleet vehicles.Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance.

Essential Skills

Experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair.Proficiency in diagnostics and troubleshooting.Skilled in electrical systems repair and maintenance.Knowledge of fleet maintenance and DOT inspections.Ability to perform welding and fabrication.Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
