Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic with a experience in Emergency Vehicle Technology. The ideal candidate will have an AES Certification and will be trained for EVT Certification, with a raise of .50 per certification. You will work in a small repair shop environment alongside certified and trained technicians to refurbish, remount, and upfit emergency vehicles, primarily fire vehicles. Comfort with hydraulics, valves, and piping is essential.
Responsibilities
Refurbish, remount, and upfit emergency vehicles.Work on fire vehicle components such as valves and piping.Utilize skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, and welding.Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.Perform maintenance on diesel engines and other industrial equipment.Collaborate with other technicians in a shop environment.Essential Skills
2-3 years of experience with outfitting and refurbishing vehicles/equipment.Experience with hydraulics and plumbing.ASE Certification required.Familiarity with valves, pumps, and emergency vehicle technology.Ability to travel and perform fabrication tasks.Troubleshooting skills in electrical and mechanical systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Fabrication experience is a plus.Experience with electrical lighting troubleshooting.Experience with motor home and bus maintenance is applicable.Previous experience with refurbishing and remounting.Experience with Spartan equipment preferred.Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a shop/warehouse setting filled with various emergency vehicles, including fire trucks and ambulances. The conditions can be hot or cold depending on the season. Work hours are day shift, Monday to Thursday, from 6am to 4:30pm, with optional overtime.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
