Diesel Fleet Mechanic

What You’ll Do:Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on diesel buses and support vehicles.Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air systems.Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with DOT and FTA standards.Maintain accurate service records using fleet management software.Respond to road calls and perform emergency repairs when needed.What You Bring:High school diploma or GED (technical training in diesel mechanics a plus).2+ years of hands-on experience in diesel vehicle maintenance (transit or heavy-duty preferred).Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain).Strong knowledge of diesel engines, air brakes, and electrical systems.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.What We Offer:Competitive hourly wage based on experience and certifications.Comprehensive benefits package: medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.Paid time off, holidays, and uniform allowance.Ongoing training and opportunities for career advancement.A mission-driven workplace that values public service and sustainability.Make a Difference. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $52000.00/yr.
