FLDP Senior Advisor - Technology Financial Planning & Analysis - Hybrid

Cigna’s Information Technology organization is a critical enabler of the enterprise strategy, innovation, and operational excellence across Evernorth and Cigna Healthcare. This role focuses on reporting, analysis, and strategic financial partnership to support Technology’s goals of driving operational stability, security, resiliency, and compliance given the accelerated pace of change.  

As a Financial Analysis Senior Advisor, this role will serve as a financial leader, with accountability for overall financial management associated with critical Technology capabilities and initiatives. The position requires a forward-thinking financial strategist capable of conducting in-depth financial analysis and providing actionable insights to optimize and drive the performance of key areas within Cigna's Technology organization.

Key Responsibilities include:

Lead financial planning, reporting, and analysist for critical Technology initiatives, ensuring robust financial oversight and alignment with enterprise objectives.

Partner with business leaders to deliver actionable, data-driven insights that inform investment decisions, investment prioritization, and resource allocation, supporting strategic growth and operational excellence.

Oversee variance analysis, performance tracking, and financial reporting to drive transparency, accountability, and informed decision-making across the organization.

Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models, dashboards, and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives and transformation programs, enabling proactive identification of risks and opportunities.

Drive cost optimization strategies across responsible spend areas, balancing innovation and operational stability while championing continuous improvement and value creation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure budgets are aligned with business objectives, fostering a culture of partnership and shared accountability for financial outcomes.

Maintain and validate project assumptions in key systems, to ensure data integrity and support accurate financial planning and analysis.

Qualifications and Critical Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field strongly preferred; MBA or CPA preferred

7+ years of financial experience, with specific data modeling, business case development, and financial analytics experience

Experience working in a highly matrixed, cross-functional environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Technical Skills – Hyperion / 1PLN / Workday / Oracle / Excel / Powerpoint
