Fixed Asset & Project Accounting Specialist

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Fixed Asset & Project Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for managing fixed asset accounting and project-related financial activities in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal bank policies.

Primary responsibilities include

Manage fixed asset lifecycle including additions, disposals, and depreciation.Perform general ledger account reconciliations.Create and manage assets for various project categories including ATM, Software (SW), Real Estate (RE), and Other.Update project statuses and perform asset retirements.Reconcile depreciation and prepare rollforward schedules.Record gain/loss entries on asset disposals.Reconcile mass additions and post them monthly.Prepare monthly retirement summaries and NBV (Net Book Value) reports.Reconcile NBV for both financial and tax books.Run and update automated interface job reports.Generate RE additions reports and perform project status sweeps.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

Required QualificationsMinimum of 3 yearsof experience in accounting (fixed asset or project accounting preferred)Proficiency in accounting software and ExcelExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitaskPreferred QualificationsExperience in banking or financial services industryStrong understanding of GAAP and asset management principlesFamiliarity with Oracle or similar systemsAssociate’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40Work Schedule: 8am - 430pm

Position is based out of Johnston, RI office and is currently 4 days onsite/week once fully trained (subject to change)
