The Fixed Assets AP Technician performs various accounts payable & accounting related tasks to assist the property group including invoice review and coding, accounts payable data entry, interface reconciliation, asset existence testing, filing and other clerical tasks as needed. This position will work closely with vendors, store managers & corporate departments regarding both invoices and credits.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Review invoices & send out for appropriate approvals.
Verify coding and prepare for data entry.
Determine whether capital, project or expense related.
Enter and verify invoices for payment.
Determine use tax properly accrued and reported when necessary.
Ensure all necessary fields for Asset and Activity Management are complete.
Verify entry for accuracy and forward to AP for check preparation.
Communicate with various departments & vendors on inquiries.
Filing.
Create and update spreadsheets.
Utilize query tool.
Print, bind and distribute reports as needed.
Set up new activities.
Enter manual entries into Activity Management.
Review and release accounts payable interface into Activity Management.
Assist Asset Mgmt. Accountant with uploads, manual asset adds, disposals, or other tasks as necessary.

General understanding of accounting process desired – assets, liabilities, debits, credits
