Fixed Asset Accountant
Description We are looking for a skilled Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will oversee the management and tracking of fixed assets, ensuring accurate accounting and compliance with company policies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial integrity of our organization. Responsibilities: • Maintain and update the fixed asset ledger, ensuring accurate records of acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation. • Conduct regular reviews and reconciliations of fixed asset accounts to ensure compliance with accounting standards. • Monitor and assess fixed asset inventory, coordinating physical audits as necessary. • Prepare detailed reports on fixed assets, including depreciation schedules and asset utilization. • Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper classification and tracking of fixed assets. • Analyze financial data related to fixed assets to support budgeting and forecasting processes. • Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements regarding fixed asset accounting. • Identify discrepancies in fixed asset records and resolve issues promptly. • Assist in the implementation and improvement of fixed asset accounting processes and systems. • Provide support during audits by supplying necessary documentation and explanations.
