Job Title: Fitter Assistant
Job Description

As a Fitter Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting fitters by assembling and setting up parts according to blueprints. Your efforts will ensure that welders can efficiently weld the parts together. You will work closely alongside fitters to prepare pipes and materials for the production line, utilizing welds ranging from 3/16 inch to 1/2 inch on pipes varying from 1 inch to 30 inches in diameter.

ResponsibilitiesAssist fitters in assembling and setting up parts based on blueprints.Work in tandem with fitters to set up pipes and materials for the production line.Utilize welds ranging from 3/16 inch to 1/2 inch on pipes from 1 inch to 30 inches.Support the placement of steel beams and ensure they are correctly aligned.Essential SkillsExperience in assembly, welding, and fitting.Proficiency in using steel, aluminum, and performing tack welding.Ability to use a tape measure with mechanical aptitude.Strong work ethic and dedication to tasks.Additional Skills & QualificationsFlexibility to work extended hours or alternate shifts.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a non-climate controlled industrial manufacturing facility. It is characterized by noise from machinery, yet the facility is maintained in a clean condition.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Birmingham, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
