**Job Title: Fitter** **Job Description** The role requires a skilled fitter who can proficiently read and interpret blueprints, an essential component for success in this position. The candidate must be adept at working with steel and demonstrate competence in performing tasks related to metal fabrication. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret blueprints for layout and fit-up. + Lay out, align, and fit metal components prior to welding. + Utilize tape measures, gauges, squares, calipers, and other measuring tools for precise fit-up. + Prepare materials for fabrication by cutting, grinding, beveling, and cleaning surfaces. + Position, clamp, and secure parts to ensure accurate assembly. + Inspect fit-ups and assemblies to meet quality and dimensional standards. **Essential Skills** + Experience in welding and fabrication. + Proficient in MIG welding and blueprint reading. + 3-5 years of experience in fitting, blueprint reading, and using hand tools. + Ability to fit, align, and prepare metal components for welding and assembly. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Previous experience in a custom weld shop. + TIG welding experience is a major plus, but not required. **Why Work Here?** Experience a balanced work-life with a first shift schedule from Monday to Friday with minimal overtime.
