Welder/Fitter $30-38/hr

Job Description

Join our team as a Fitter, where you will work independently at your own bench, performing structural fitting and welding tasks in a shop environment. This role is part of a short-term project, offering a dynamic and hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

Perform structural fitting and welding using flux core techniques.Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure accurate construction.Handle structural steel with precision and care.Engage in assembly and stick welding tasks.Collaborate with a small team to achieve project goals.

Essential Skills

2+ years of experience in Structural Fitting and Welding.Journeyman Welder or Apprentice at 2nd or 3rd Year level.Active CWB FCAW or GMAW certification in 2 positions or more, with a minimum of Flat or Horizontal position.Ability to work overtime and willingness to drive for work purposes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

CWB FCAW / GMAW certification in Flat & Horizontal positions.

Work Environment

Work the night shift from Monday to Friday, 4:30 PM to 2:30 AM, with overtime available after 40 hours. The night shift includes a $3 per hour premium for the entire shift. This role offers the potential to become permanent for outstanding performers.
