**Job Title: Fitter** **Job Description**
As a Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting and assembling metal components of shell & tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and towers. This role requires the ability to fit and assemble components using tack welding and clamps, as well as measuring skills. You must be able to interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications. Ensuring components meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards is crucial. Collaboration with welders, machinists, and quality control teams is essential to maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all safety protocols and company procedures.
**Responsibilities**
+ Fit and assemble metal components of shell & tube heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and towers.
+ Use tack welding, clamps, and measuring tools to fit and assemble components.
+ Interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications.
+ Ensure components meet dimensional tolerances and quality standards.
+ Collaborate with welders, machinists, and quality control teams.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
+ Follow all safety protocols and company procedures.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial fitting or fabrication.
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
+ Familiarity with fabrication tools such as grinders, clamps, and measuring devices.
+ Basic knowledge of welding processes (TIG/MIG/Stick is a plus).
+ Strong attention to detail and quality.
+ Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Fitter 1: Minimum 5 years of experience fitting pressure vessels or heat exchangers, ability to read AutoCAD prints, extensive knowledge and experience with thermal cutting and welding processes.
+ Fitter 2: Minimum 3 years of experience fitting pressure vessels and/or heat exchangers, ability to read AutoCAD prints, above-average knowledge and experience of thermal cutting and welding processes.
+ Fitter 3: Willingness to learn to cut, fit, and tack weld heat exchangers, vessels, and towers with a basic understanding of fitting metal components to set standards and codes of various types of pressure vessels and heat exchangers.

**Work Environment**
This position is set in a fabrication shop with exposure to heat, noise, and metalworking equipment. Personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel-toe boots, gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection is mandatory. The role involves standing, bending, and lifting materials up to 50 lbs throughout the shift. Shifts available include 2x Day Shift Hours Monday-Thursday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with overtime, and 1x Weekend Hours Friday-Saturday plus one additional weekday 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with overtime.

This is a Contract position based out of Sand Springs, OK.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr.
