Job Title: Fitter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, aligning end plates, and performing tack welding to secure them for final welding. You will inspect end plates for correct sizing and check welding riser plates for compatibility with treads.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints accurately.Align end plates and perform tack welding to secure them for final welding.Inspect end plates to ensure correct size.Check welding riser plates for compatibility with treads.Use micrometers to measure thickness accurately.

Essential Skills

At least 1 year of welding experience.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience with torch operations.Proficiency in using hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with hoist operations.Forklift operation experience.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a facility that manufactures high-quality steel and aluminum bar grating, as well as fencing products. The position is for the 1st shift, with an 8-hour shift from 6am to 2:30pm or a 10-hour shift from 6am to 4:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Garrett, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $45760.00/yr.
