Our client, a leading organization in the technology and manufacturing sector, is seeking a Firmware Test Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Firmware Test Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Engineering Department supporting innovative hardware and software development projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully within the organization.
**Job Title:** Firmware Test Engineer
**Location:** Longmont, CO
**Pay Range:** $45/hr **What's the Job?**
+ Develop, modify, and troubleshoot test scripts using Python to ensure firmware quality and performance.
+ Conduct failure analysis, debugging, and reproduce test failures to identify root causes.
+ Understand SSD firmware, test algorithms, and architectures to support hardware and software integration.
+ Support project-specific hardware bring-up, configuration, and maintenance, collaborating with team members.
+ Participate in SCRUM meetings, providing updates on progress, challenges, and risks to ensure project success.
**What's Needed?**
+ Experience troubleshooting and repairing hardware and software components effectively.
+ Proven track record in building test systems and conducting comprehensive tests with attention to detail.
+ Strong understanding of embedded firmware, C language, and SSD architecture.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
+ Experience with Unix command line environment and terminal operations is a plus.
