Our client, a leader in the semiconductor industry, is seeking a Firmware & System Test Automation Engineer IV to join their team. As a Firmware & System Test Automation Engineer IV, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting firmware development and validation teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Firmware & System Test Automation Engineer IV
**Location:** Roseville, CA
**Pay Range:** $50-$60 per hour
**What's the Job?**
+ Build end-to-end automation solutions for firmware development and system validation processes.
+ Design reusable Python and Bash libraries and command-line interfaces to streamline testing workflows.
+ Integrate tools such as Docker, Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Gerrit, Jira, and test management systems to enhance automation pipelines.
+ Orchestrate nightly regression tests, implement auto-failure classification, and develop dashboards for monitoring results.
+ Collaborate across firmware, hardware, and ASIC teams to document standards, best practices, and ensure compliance with data and IP security protocols.
**What's Needed?**
+ 10+ years of automation experience in firmware and system validation environments.
+ Expertise in Python, Linux, kernel modules, Bash scripting, and working knowledge of C/C++ for firmware integration.
+ Experience with PyTest, Robot Framework, and hardware-in-the-loop testing methodologies.
+ Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, including artifacts management, secrets handling, and flaky test management.
+ Strong understanding of PCIe/NVMe, DMA, interrupts, RTOS, and experience with logic and protocol analyzers for hardware debugging.
