Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:
• Lead and mentor an audio firmware team, including task planning, technical guidance, and performance management.
• Own audio firmware architecture and technical direction for gaming peripheral products.
• Oversee development of audio protocol (USB, Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless), DSP control, codecs, and latency optimization.
• Collaborate with hardware and acoustic teams on bring-up, tuning, and validation of audio systems.
• Drive firmware quality through code reviews, debugging, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
• Tracking and reporting regularly on development progress to the project manager and related product team members.
• Generation of FRD, test protocol, etc.
• Coordinate withthe Validation team to define test strategies, validation criteria, and issue triage processes
• Ensure on-time delivery aligned with NPI schedules and milestone commitments.
• Communicate technical status, risks, and trade-offs clearly to cross-functional and executive stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of embedded firmware development experience, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership or management role.
• Strong background in audio firmware for consumer or gaming devices (USB Audio, Bluetooth Audio, wireless audio systems).
• Experience with MCUs/SoCs, RTOS, DSPs, and low-level driver development.
• Solid understanding of audio concepts such as sampling, latency, synchronization, echo cancellation, and noise processing.
• Proven ability to manage multi-project priorities in a fast-paced consumer electronics environment.
• English communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaboration with global teams and partners
• Experience in the gaming peripheral industry is highly preferred
• Experience with CI/CD for embedded systems (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Familiarity with power profiling tools and energy-aware design.
