**Job Title: Fire Systems Technician** Job Description Join a family-owned business with over 60 years of experience in fire safety solutions. We are seeking a dedicated Fire Systems Apprentice to learn and grow in the fire protection industry. You will assist in the installation, servicing, and inspection of fire safety systems, playing a crucial role in keeping communities safe. Responsibilities + Assist lead technician with reviewing and understanding new project information. + Work in compliance with industry standards and codes such as NFPA 72, NFPA 17, and NEC. + Use hand and power tools for mechanical work and installation tasks. + Pull wire through conduit, walls, and drop ceilings as part of system installations. + Bend, cut, and install conduit following the NEC code. + Obtain and maintain relevant certifications and credentials. + Support technicians during fire systems testing, inspection, and service calls. Essential Skills + Basic understanding of electrical systems and electricity fundamentals. + Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overnight shifts. + High school diploma or equivalent; trade school experience is an advantage. + Basic understanding of blueprints and wiring schematics. + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. + Ability to pass a drug screening. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Relevant certifications such as NICET, OSHA, BICSI, ICC, or Electrician License are a plus. + Prior experience installing fire alarms and/or fire suppression systems. + Experience installing in industrial and commercial environments. + Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work on ladders or at heights. + Positive attitude and desire to learn.
