**Role Purpose**
**As part of our HSE team this role will provide practical Subject Matter Expertise, and support delivery of the CBRE Fire Safety Strategy for Property Management UK. The successful candidate will engage with operational site teams across the organisation to deliver measurable improvements in Fire Safety performance. The individual will have a technical specialism in fire safety, specifically in HRBs and the emerging legislation that impact Property Management. The role will report directly to Head of Health and Safety with a dotted line to Operations, providing guidance and support to the regions and business function.**
**A hybrid working model including work from home and from our London head** **office on a weekly basis.**
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Champion the CBRE PM fire safety strategy in accordance with legal requirements ensuring delivery of continued understanding for the Company and our Clients, i.e., Building Safety Act 2022, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021.
+ Support our Client’s assets by undertaking site based and desktop fire safety audits and inspections as required, to assist Property Management teams in achieving and maintaining relevant HSE compliance standards.
+ Advise people within CBRE managed assets on fire safety management issues and influence a change in approach when compliance gaps are identified.
+ Identify and track trends, working with the Property Management teams to mitigate findings, adopting a risk based approach.
+ Under the guidance of the Head of Health and Safety, develop and maintain policies, procedures and standards, ensuring they are continuously reviewed and updated to support the delivery of the CBRE HSE and Client objectives.
+ Communicate new/revised policies, procedures and standards with operational and regional staff.
+ Review reported fire related incidents and support the FM teams in investigations.
+ Monitor changes in legislation and best practice to ensure continuing legal compliance and best practice within CBRE’s property portfolio.
+ Attend regional team meetings and contribute relevant updates and information from industry.
+ Prepare Fire Safety briefings/Bulletins to increase awareness and engagement in line with the HSE team communications strategy.
+ Provide support and technical fire safety advice to the Property Management and Facilities teams to enable them to undertake their roles and responsibilities.
+ Liaise with Property Management teams to ensure proactive compliance with online health and safety management systems.
+ Compile data and trend analysis reports where relevant to business operations and fire safety requirements.
+ Support queries and interpret fire risk assessment findings, preparing remediation action plans in conjunction with third party approved providers.
+ Support the Head of Health and Safety in the relationship management with third party approved providers.
+ Support the Head of Health and Safety in the relationship management with Primary Authority relationships, i.e., London Fire Brigade, City of London, the HSE.
+ Support any reviews or development of fire safety training content in line with emerging risks and new legislation, alongside existing training materials.
+ Undertake any other reasonable tasks to maintain effective fire safety management across Property Management UK.
**Person Specification/Requirements**
+ NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent
+ A recognised professional body membership, such as IFE or IFSM with ongoing CPD.
+ Level 3 Fire Safety Qualification minimum (Level 4 desirable)
+ Proven experience of understanding operating a Residential, Commercial environment of mixed-use property portfolio or Managing Agent Environment.
+ Ability to understand and analyse information to be able to recommend informed solutions to problems.
+ Competent IT skills and Excellent written and communication skills
+ Ability to work and engage with internal and external contacts at all management levels.
+ High level of professionalism, with an appetite for improving standards to an exceptionally and consistently high level with the ability to lead as an ambassador in promoting a safety culture.
+ Able to work effectively alone and as part of a multi-functional team.
