You will work as part of a team and, at times, independently, to ensure that all systems are maintained efficiently and safely to meet the highest standards of quality, reliability while maintaining the highest level of code compliance with our client’s facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. We are committed to safeguarding lives and property by installing and maintaining state-of-the-art fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial settings. **WHAT YOU'LL DO** + Install, modify, and repair fire sprinkler piping systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, and other specialty systems. + Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical specifications related to fire sprinkler layouts of assigned buildings. + Cut, thread, and groove pipes in accordance with NFPA, OSHA, and Oregon state codes. + Perform pressure tests and inspections to ensure system integrity and proper function. + Collaborate with other trades, contractors, vendors, and project managers to coordinate installation schedules and resolve issues. + Follow all workplace safety regulations and practices. + Document work performed and maintained accurate records for compliance and inspections. + Develop material and labor cost estimates for work orders, preventative maintenance activities, systems, and construction projects. + Respond to emergency incidents, requesting help when needed. + Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives. + Showcase expertise in own job discipline and knowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function to collaborate on projects. + Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. + Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence. + Provide excellent customer service and communication effectively with clients and team members. **WHAT YOU'LL NEED** Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. Education and Experience + High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2-3 years of experience in pipe fitting, plumbing, or fire protection systems. + Current NICET certification or Oregon Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter license preferred; otherwise, willingness to obtain. + Valid Oregon state driver's license, with acceptable driving record. + Ability to read and interpret construction documents, technical drawings, and schematics. + Familiarity with NFPA standards and Oregon Building Codes related to fire sprinkler systems. + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. + The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions. + The ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions with broad impact on the business. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
